About The Role
This is an exciting opportunity for a passionate individual to inspire our students. The purpose of this role is to deliver high-quality Physical Education teaching across GCSE and A Level, inspiring students to achieve their full potential both academically and physically. The role includes contributing to a broad and engaging co-curricular sports programme, with a particular focus on boys' rugby, while supporting the wider aims of the department and school. The postholder will promote high standards of teaching, learning, behaviour and participation, and play an active role in fostering a positive and inclusive sporting culture across the school.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver high-quality teaching across GCSE and A Level Physical Education
- Plan and deliver engaging lessons in line with departmental schemes of work
- Monitor, assess and report on student progress, using data to inform teaching and support achievement
- Set high expectations for behaviour, participation and presentation, creating a positive learning environment
- Contribute to the delivery of a broad and inclusive co-curricular sports programme
- Lead and support boys' sports, particularly rugby (essential), and contribute to football and cricket
- Provide timely feedback to students and communicate progress effectively with parents
- Support students with a range of abilities, including those with additional needs
- Participate fully in school life, including fixtures, events, meetings and pastoral responsibilities
- Engage in ongoing professional development and contribute to departmental improvement
What you'll bring

- Successful teaching experience in Physical Education
