  • Work closely with the class teacher to plan, deliver and review support, ensuring inclusion within the classroom and wider school activities wherever possible.
  • Monitor, record and report on the pupil's progress against EHCP targets, contributing to reviews, meetings and documentation as required.
  • Promote independence, self-confidence and social communication skills, encouraging the pupil to develop strategies to manage their own learning and behaviour.
  • Support transitions throughout the school day, including movement between lessons, break times and changes to routine, helping the pupil to feel secure and prepared.
  • Liaise effectively with parents, SENCo and external professionals, maintaining clear communication and consistency of approach.
  • Ensure the safety, wellbeing and dignity of the pupil at all times, adhering to school policies on safeguarding, confidentiality and health and safety.
