Hendon Prep is seeking to appoint a dedicated and compassionate Teaching Assistant to support pupils across the school. This is a varied and rewarding role working with children from Preschool through to Year 6.
- Support pupils within lessons to access learning and make progress
- Reinforce teaching delivered by the class teacher
- Promote pupils' confidence, independence and positive attitudes to learning
- Work collaboratively with teaching staff to adapt provision as required
Qualifications:
- GCSE (or equivalent) in English and Mathematics — essential
- Relevant Teaching Assistant qualification — desirable
- SEND-related training — desirable
Experience:
- Experience of working with primary-aged children (EYFS and/or KS1/KS2) — essential
- Experience supporting pupils with SEND — desirable
- Experience in a school or educational setting (mainstream or specialist) — desirable
Skills:
- Ability to support pupils with a range of learning needs
- Ability to build positive and professional relationships with pupils and staff
