HOURS: Full Time: Senior: 8.30 - 4.30 Monday to Friday - Term time only. Part time positions can be discussed.

START DATE: 3 September 2026

LOCATION: Forest Farm School, Oxford Montessori Schools, Elsfield, OX3 9UW. The school is on an erratic bus route therefore a car - or bike - are essential.

SALARY: £22,000 - £24,000 - dependent upon experience. Further income can be earned by working in our Create Holiday Club.

RESPONSIBLE TO: SENDCO/Principal

JOB PURPOSE: The main objectives to be achieved by the candidate:

  • Under the general supervision and direction of the SENDCO and class teachers, to support individual pupils in their lessons.
  • To monitor pupil’s progress and provide feedback to the SENDCO and class teacher and establish supportive and constructive relationships.

Essential criteria for the candidate:

  • Experience of supporting pupils with SEND/SEMH
  • Ability to operate at a level of understanding and competence equivalent to NVQ Level 3 standard
  • Ability to relate well to children
  • Ability to work as part of a team
  • Good communication skills
  • Ability to supervise and assist pupils
  • Time management skills
  • Organisational skills
  • Knowledge of classroom roles and responsibilities
  • Knowledge of the concept of confidentiality
  • Good numeracy and literacy skills
  • Ability to make effective use of ICT

  • Commitment to safeguarding and protecting the welfare of children and young people.
