As a Midday Lunch Supervisor, you will play an important role in ensuring pupils enjoy a safe, positive, and well-supervised lunchtime experience. Working as part of the wider school team, you will uphold the school's values and standards, support pupil wellbeing, and contribute to a caring and inclusive environment while following school policies and procedures.
- Supervise pupils during lunchtime, ensuring their safety, wellbeing, and positive behaviour.
- Operate tills accurately and efficiently while providing excellent customer service to pupils and staff.
- Promote good table manners, hygiene, and respectful behaviour within the dining hall.
- Support meal service, assist pupils as needed, clear tables, and maintain a clean and welcoming environment.
- Ensure high standards of cleanliness, food hygiene, health and safety, and encourage recycling and waste reduction.
- Work collaboratively with school and catering staff to support pupil welfare and address any concerns.
- Complete food safety duties, including stock rotation, temperature checks, and food waste monitoring.
- Maintain confidentiality, attend required training, and contribute positively to the wider school community.
- Carry out any other reasonable duties requested by the Catering Manager, Headteacher, or Senior Leadership Team.
Ability to build relationships with children & young people. Flexible approach to working. Willing to undertake training. Good standard of personal hygiene.
