We are seeking an organised and proactive Property Team Assistant to support the management and letting of residential and affordable housing properties. This role involves preparing tenancy and letting documentation, coordinating repairs through the in‑house maintenance team, and maintaining accurate property records and compliance documentation. The successful candidate will help advertise available homes, manage property keys, support tenant communications (including newsletters and surveys), and assist with property visits, inspections, and reporting. The role also includes liaising with utility providers, handling meter readings, and ensuring all activities meet regulatory and service level standards. This role requires visits to and from tenants’ homes so a full and clean driving licence is essential.

What you’ll do:

  • Oversee multiple inboxes for tenant queries
  • Co‑ordinate repairs and maintenance through the in‑house maintenance department
  • Update and maintain the Property Database and other records
  • Ensure that the properties are fully compliant with current legislation
  • Ensure work is processed in line with regulatory timeframes and service level agreements
  • Advertise available homes, create adverts, and book marketing photography where required
  • Maintain key audit and secure key management
  • Produce the tenant newsletter and annual survey
  • Assist with reporting maintenance to the in‑house maintenance department and update the property database
  • Deliver a high level of service
  • Liaise with utility providers
  • Assist with water and solar metering readings and records
  • Carry out other tasks required by the property manager and housing officer on an ad‑hoc basis
  • Prepare letting documentation and tenancy agreements

  • A full clean driving licence is required.
  • Some knowledge of lettings or housing is desirable, but not essential.
  • Strong administrative, organisational and communication skills.
  • A helpful, flexible and hardworking approach and a ‘can do’ attitude.
  • Willingness to work towards a recognised housing qualification.
