Blendsmiths was established in 2017, with a focus on changing the way the world drinks. In nearly 10 years of trading, Blendsmiths has become a leading brand in the F&B sector across the UK, renowned for high quality and innovative drinks. Blended to be different; blended to be extraordinary, we are ambitious about taking the extraordinary to new heights and that's only possible by building a great team.

We are seeking a high-calibre Head of Marketing to lead and scale our marketing function at a pivotal stage of growth. We are a £5m turnover food and drink business with a clear ambition to grow to £10m+, and we are looking for someone who can help take us there through exceptional marketing leadership. This is a role for someone who wants to build, not inherit. You will shape strategy, elevate brand presence, and drive commercial growth while working closely with a passionate leadership team. We are not a large corporate environment with layers of red tape. We are looking for someone who thrives in a fast-moving, entrepreneurial setting, and is energised by the opportunity to have real impact.

Key Responsibilities

  • Strategy & Growth Leadership
    • Own and evolve the overall marketing strategy to support growth from £5m to £10m+.
    • Translate business objectives into clear, prioritised marketing plans.
    • Identify and unlock new growth opportunities across brand, acquisition, retention, and partnerships.
  • Brand & Creative Direction
    • Lead brand positioning and storytelling in collaboration with the Brand Manager.
    • Ensure a distinctive, premium, and consistent brand presence across all channels.
    • Raise the creative bar while maintaining commercial focus.
  • Performance & Commercial Impact
    • Drive measurable growth in customer acquisition and revenue.
    • Oversee marketing performance, ensuring strong ROI across all activity.
    • Make data-informed decisions and continuously optimise performance.
  • Social, Content & Community
    • Shape a strong and engaging social media presence through the Social Media Executive.
    • Ensure content is consistent, creative, and aligned with brand identity.
    • Build community engagement and brand affinity over time.
  • Partnerships & Growth Channels
    • Guide the Partnerships Manager to develop meaningful commercial and brand partnerships.
    • Identify and secure collaborations that drive awareness and revenue.
  • Events & Experimental Marketing
    • Oversee and support the Events Manager in delivering high-impact brand events and activations.
    • Develop an events and experiential marketing strategy that strengthens brand presence and drives customer engagement.
    • Ensure events are commercially aligned and integrated with broader marketing campaigns.
  • Leadership & Culture
    • Lead, develop, and inspire a small marketing team.
    • Create clarity, accountability, and momentum within the function.
    • Hire and shape future team growth as the business scales.

We are looking for a rare combination of:

  • Senior marketing leadership experience (Head of Marketing / Marketing Director level).
  • Strong experience within food & drink, FMCG, hospitality, or premium consumer brands.
  • Proven success in scaling revenue and brand impact in a growing business.
  • Experience working in fast-paced, resource-conscious environments.
  • Comfortable balancing strategy with hands-on execution.
  • Deeply tuned into modern marketing trends, platforms, and behaviours.
  • A collaborative leader who is kind, empathetic, and brings people with them.
  • Someone who is comfortable being hands-on, while also setting clear strategic direction.

We are ambitious, but we are not a cut-throat environment. We want someone who is firm when needed, clear in decision-making, and relentlessly focused on outcomes, but who leads with respect and emotional intelligence.

Personal Attributes

  • Energetic, proactive, and full of ideas.
  • Commercially sharp and results-driven.
  • Kind, empathetic, and collaborative in leadership style.
  • Firm, decisive, and able to drive clarity and accountability.
  • Thrives in environments without heavy corporate structure or bureaucracy.
  • Resilient and tireless in pursuit of ambitious goals.

What success looks like

  • Clear, ambitious marketing strategy driving £10m+ revenue trajectory.
  • Strong, distinctive brand presence in the food and drink market.
  • High-performing, motivated marketing team with clear ownership.
  • Measurable growth in acquisition, retention, and brand engagement.

Benefits Package

  • Flexible working conditions.
  • £60,000 - £70,000 salary per annum (based on experience).
  • Company laptop (Apple MacBook Pro).
  • Bonus structure.
  • 25 days holiday.
  • Pension.
  • Private Health Insurance.
  • One free coffee a week at a café of your choosing.
  • Complementary products each month.
  • Drinks and snacks provided at the office.
  • On site gym access.
  • Opportunity to learn, develop and grow with a creative brand.

We operate in a friendly, collaborative environment where there is plenty of opportunity to learn, develop and grow amongst a highly creative and driven bunch.
