Duties/Responsibilities:- To assist in providing a safe and nurturing home environment for children and young people, appropriate to their age, understanding and identified needs.
- Provide support with all aspects of their daily lives and encourage them to engage in decision making relating to their care.
- To encourage and support all young people to take responsibility for their self-care and personal hygiene appropriate to their age.
- To ensure that good health and welfare is promoted and that the needs of young people are identified, and services provided to meet these.
- To develop positive relationships with young people and enable them to develop their existing skills and learn new ones.
- To act as a positive role model and actively prepare and support young people when leaving care to enable them to make a successful transition into adulthood.
- To maintain a regular system of recording in connection with each young person, to be involved in the development and implementation of individual care plans and to provide reports as and when required.
- Experience working with Children and Young People (ideally in a residential setting).
- Relevant qualification in Level 3 Residential Childcare diploma (or a willingness to undertake the qualification and training).
- Ability to write clear and detailed reports.
- Be of good character and integrity.

- Have a positive attitude and a good sense of humour.

- Due to the property's remote location, a full UK driving licence and the ability to drive the company vehicles are essential.
