The UK Cluster HR Business Partner (HRBP) will play a critical role in driving the people strategy across a group of distribution centres within a 3PL (Third-Party Logistics) environment. The role is responsible for aligning HR practices with business objectives, ensuring operational excellence, and fostering a positive workplace culture. This position combines strategic HR leadership with hands-on operational delivery, supporting managers and employees in achieving both individual and organisational success.
- HR Business Partnering
- Act as a trusted advisor to site leadership teams, providing guidance on people-related matters to drive business performance.
- Partner with operational managers to implement HR strategies that align with business goals and objectives.
- Provide expertise in workforce planning, succession planning, and talent management.
- Employee Relations (ER)
- Lead on complex employee relations cases, ensuring compliance with UK employment law and company policies.
- Provide coaching and support to managers on disciplinary, grievance, and performance management issues.
- HR Processes and Compliance
- Oversee the execution of HR processes, including recruitment, onboarding, payroll input, and offboarding.
- Ensure compliance with all legal and regulatory requirements, including GDPR.
- Monitor and report on key HR metrics, including absence, turnover, and employee satisfaction.
- Drive initiatives to enhance employee engagement and foster a positive workplace culture.
- Facilitate communication and feedback channels between employees and management.
- Support diversity, equity, and inclusion (DEI) initiatives across the cluster.
- Training and Development
- Identify training needs and collaborate with relevant parties to deliver relevant programmes.
- Support the development of leadership capabilities within the management team.
- Change Management
- Lead and support change management initiatives, such as organisational restructures.
Proven experience in an HR Business Partner or similar role within a logistics, supply chain, or manufacturing environment. Strong knowledge of UK employment law and HR best practices. Experience managing complex ER cases and driving HR processes in an operational context. Exceptional organisational and time-management skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities effectively. Familiarity with HRIS systems and data-driven decision-making.
