Behind the scenes is where the real excitement begins.

This is a permanent, full-time position working Monday to Friday, covering the hours of 08:00 - 16:00 and 16:00 - 00:00, rotating each 2 weeks, with flexibility required during peak periods.

The role offers an annual salary of up to £33,598.50, depending on skills and experience, plus an additional shift allowance.

Tasks and responsibilities

Carry out trained warehouse duties that support the movement of stock through the distribution centre, from goods receipt to dispatch.

Deliver MHE (Mechanical Handling Equipment) training and promote safe working practices across the site.

Key Responsibilities

  • Ensure all site training requirements are completed, documented, and maintained in line with company policies.
  • Deliver MHE inductions for new operatives and coordinate refresher training within required timescales.
  • Assess, coach, retrain, and monitor MHE operatives to maintain competence and reduce risks associated with skill fade or infrequent equipment use.
  • Support investigations into MHE-related incidents and ensure any required follow-up assessments or training are completed.
  • Identify workplace hazards and implement appropriate control measures to minimise risk.
  • Assist in the development and review of risk assessments for MHE activities.
  • Maintain high standards of operator competence and safe working practices.
  • Champion and positively influence the site's Health & Safety culture.

Skills and Experience

  • ITSSAR or RTITB accredited trainer.
  • Strong understanding of warehouse operations and processes.
  • Excellent awareness of Health & Safety, with the confidence to challenge unsafe behaviours.
  • Effective written and verbal communication skills.
  • Flexible and adaptable in managing workload and working hours.
  • Highly organised, diligent, and detail-oriented.
  • Takes ownership and accountability for responsibilities.

Profile Applications will only be considered from employees who

  • Have a minimum of 6 months' service in their current role.
  • Have successfully completed their probation period.
  • Have no active conduct or absence warnings.
  • Achieved a performance rating of 3 or above in their most recent review.
  • Have the support of their Line Manager.
