This is a permanent, full‑time position working Monday to Friday, covering the hours of 08:00–16:00, offering a salary between £40,000 and £45,000 depending on experience. The role follows a hybrid working model, with three days in the office and two days working from home each week.
Tasks and Responsibilities- Responsible for supporting the controlling and accounting function by delivering accurate and timely financial data, assisting in reporting activities, and analysing performance indicators to support effective budgeting, forecasting, and business decision‑making.
- Support the preparation of financial reports, including monthly performance reporting and KPI tracking.
- Assist with budgeting and forecasting by gathering, validating, and structuring financial data.
- Perform variance analysis, identifying key deviations and supporting explanations.
- Prepare data for management reporting and contribute to financial performance analysis.
- Ensure accuracy and consistency of financial data across systems and reports.
- Support senior controllers and accounting teams with analysis and reporting activities.
- Maintain financial datasets and reporting tools, ensuring data integrity.
- Contribute to continuous improvement of reporting processes and data quality.
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics, Accounting, or a related field.
- 1–4 years of relevant experience in finance, controlling or accounting.
- Good understanding of financial reporting and controlling principles.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to work with financial data.
- Advanced Excel skills and familiarity with reporting tools.
- High attention to detail and a structured approach to work.
- Ability to work with guidance and progressively increase autonomy.
