Tasks and responsibilities:
- SHIFT PATTERN: 4 days on 4 days off; 6.00 – 18.00; 18.00 – 6.00
- Temp Contract for 6 months
- Main purpose of job: To manage an assigned floor/area within the warehouse, including operational processes, people, and client relationships.
- To proactively plan labour, equipment, and activities related to these processes during the shift.
- To promote and foster a culture of working safely and supporting the development of the team and the individuals within it.
Key tasks and responsibilities:
- Manage the people and processes related to an assigned floor/process.
- Ensure that the right resources are deployed to succeed.
- Promote a safe working environment and ensure adherence to safety practices; take appropriate action in line with company procedures in case of health and safety breaches.
- Identify and flag problems proactively and resolve them with minimal disruption to service.
- Foster a positive working environment through regular communication, feedback, encouraging ideas, developing skills, understanding concerns, and celebrating success.
- Monitor individual and team performance, providing coaching, mentoring, and training to facilitate improvement and development.
- Support the Shift Manager during formal performance management, absence, and disciplinary processes.
- Promote and create a culture of continuous improvement by identifying areas for enhancement and acting on them.
- Lead or undertake ad hoc projects as required.
