Requirements
- Hands‑on experience with Microsoft Azure in a production environment, including VMs, networking, backup and cost management
- Deep knowledge of Microsoft 365 security, including Conditional Access, MFA, Microsoft Defender for Endpoint, Microsoft Defender for Office 365 and Intune
- Solid networking skills, including firewalls, VLANs, wireless, VPNs and managing multi‑site network estates
- Experience in an MSP or multi‑client, multi‑tenant environment
- A security‑first mindset with experience of incident triage and response
- Ability to work autonomously, own problems end to end, and communicate clearly with technical and non‑technical audiences
- Comfort being the most senior technical voice on an account, making decisions, documenting them and standing behind them
- Experience with NHS DSPT, Cyber Essentials or ISO 27001 is advantageous
- Experience with UniFi, FortiGate or similar network platforms is advantageous
- Experience with RMM platforms and PowerShell or Graph API automation is advantageous
- Experience in the care or health sector, or with clients handling sensitive personal data, is advantageous
- Willingness to obtain DBS clearance is advantageous
Responsibilities
- Manage, monitor and optimise the Microsoft 365 environment
- Own network infrastructure across all sites, including firewalls, switches, access points and VPNs
- Plan and deliver a network standardisation programme to bring a mixed estate onto a common, supportable platform
- Own the security baseline across a large multi‑tenant Microsoft 365 estate, including Conditional Access, MFA, Microsoft Defender for Endpoint and Defender for Office 365
- Handle security alerting, incident triage and response, acting as technical lead on cyber security incidents
- Handle complex escalations from the helpdesk and provide technical sign‑off on high‑risk changes
- Lead the technical delivery of infrastructure projects, including new site onboarding and migrations
- Liaise with third‑party vendors, including Microsoft, ISPs and network vendors
- Support NHS DSPT and Cyber Essentials compliance reviews and remediation across the estate
