About Bleach London: Bleach London is the home of experimental hair. About the Role: We are looking for a hands-on creative colourist with exceptional technical skills and an obsession with colour. The Lead Assistant Colourist is a pivotal role at the heart of our business — connecting the artistry of colour with our work across brand campaigns, social, PR, session styling, and product innovation. You will be the mainline support to the creative team and collaborate closely with founder Alex Brownsell, working behind the scenes on shoots, developing new products, and contributing to the creative identity of the brand.

Key Responsibilities

  • Colour and styling for asset production, product development and events
  • Colour and styling for clients, PR and VIPs
  • Support Alex Brownsell with colour work for high-profile shoots and events, both in-salon and on set
  • Capture high-quality photo and video content for Bleach London and Alex Brownsell's social channels.
  • Salon, bookings and stock management
  • Recruit, maintain and manage the Bleach London model database, including profiles, NDAs, and patch testing

About You

  • A passionate, detail-oriented colourist with an eye for aesthetics and innovation.
  • Highly organised and proactive — comfortable managing multiple projects in fast-paced environments.
  • Flexible and hands-on — ready to travel, adapt, and support across shoots, events, and salon activity.
  • Deeply interested in hair trends, fashion, and beauty culture
  • Minimum 2 years experience on the floor
  • Confident in bleach and scalp bleach techniques
  • Familiar with Bleach London products
  • Has NVQ/VRQ Hairdressing Level 2 (or equivalent) qualification as a minimum
