Senior Product Designer (UX/UI) — Web, App & Digital Content
Location: Bracknell (Hybrid: in-office 2 days/week)
Company: BlckBx
About BlckBx
BlckBx is a premium, human-plus-AI personal operations service that frees ambitious families and professionals from life admin so they can focus on what matters. We\’re building beautifully simple, deeply helpful digital experiences across web, iOS/Android, email, and beyond.
The role
We\’re looking for a hands-on, end-to-end Product Designer who can craft world-class experiences and ship them. You\’ll move from research and UX flows to high-fidelity UI, motion, and final asset production—then partner with engineering and ops to bring it all to life. If you obsess over details, sweat typography, and love turning complex journeys into \”wow, that was easy\”—we want to meet you.
What you\’ll do
- Own the end-to-end product design for web and app: discovery, user flows, wireframes, prototypes, visual design, and specs.
- Build and evolve our design system (tokens, components, patterns) for speed and consistency.
- Create marketing and lifecycle assets: website pages, landing pages, email templates, CRM snippets, social, and light print collateral.
- Deliver motion and video: micro-interactions, UI motion, short edits for product and social.
- Run lightweight research and testing: interviews, usability tests, analytics-informed iterations.
- Collaborate closely with product, engineering, ops, and brand to ship high-quality work quickly.
What you\’ll bring
- 4–8+ years designing digital products (consumer apps preferred), with a portfolio of shipped work.
- Mastery of Figma (components, auto-layout, prototypes) and Adobe CC (Illustrator, Photoshop; After Effects/Premiere for motion/video).
- Strong UX craft and systems thinking; you can simplify complex journeys and edge cases.
- Excellent visual design: layout, grid, type, colour, iconography, accessibility fundamentals (WCAG).
- Comfortable producing responsive web, mobile app UI, email templates (basic HTML/CSS helpful), and print-ready assets.
- A maker\’s mindset: fast, thoughtful, iterative, and opinionated—yet collaborative and ego-free.
Nice to have:
- Experience with design tokens, component libraries, and collaborating in code (Storybook, Git).
- Familiarity with marketing automation/CRM (e.g., HubSpot, Klaviyo, Braze).
- Motion systems for UI (Lottie, After Effects → JSON).
- Basic prototyping in code a plus (React/SwiftUI helpful but not required).
What we offer
- Hybrid working with 2 days/week in Bracknell (collab, critiques, and rapid build cycles).
- A chance to shape the core experience of a fast-growing UK startup with real impact on families\’ lives.
- Competitive pay (DOE) + potential equity; kit, learning budget, and the tools you love.
We\’re an equal-opportunity employer. We celebrate diversity and are committed to an inclusive workplace.
