About Blazon
Blazon is a launch and growth agency working with ambitious consumer brands across ecommerce, consumer products, and consumer technology. We help brands move from pre-launch into launch, then into growth. Our work covers brand strategy, storytelling, Shopify websites, landing pages, CRM, Meta ads, UGC, creative production, reporting, and campaign optimisation.
We are looking for a freelance Digital Designer to support our senior team across ecommerce websites, Shopify page design, landing pages, UX/UI, brand systems, and paid social creative. This is a hands-on design role for someone who can take a brand, understand the commercial goal, and turn it into strong digital work that looks sharp, works properly, and supports performance.
The role
You will design digital assets and web experiences for active client accounts, with a focus on ecommerce, consumer brands, technology brands, and product launches. The role sits between brand design, UX/UI, ecommerce design, web design, and performance creative. You will not be expected to lead strategy or own client relationships. You will be expected to understand a brief quickly, work in Figma confidently, design clean digital systems, and produce work that can move into build, launch, or campaign production.
This role is ideal for a freelance designer with experience in a creative agency, ecommerce agency, Shopify agency, performance marketing agency, DTC brand, or digital product environment.
What you'll be designing
- Ecommerce website designs
- Shopify homepage, product page, collection page, and landing page layouts
- Pre-launch and launch campaign landing pages
- Paid social creative for Meta ads
- Digital campaign assets
- Brand identity applications across web, email, and paid social
- Brand guidelines and visual identity systems
- UX/UI layouts for frontend pages
- Wireframes, page structures, and design systems in Figma
- Email design direction and CRM creative
- UGC ad layouts, creator brief visuals, and performance creative templates
- Website sections, campaign modules, and reusable design components
- Mobile-first ecommerce page designs
- Design refinements based on client feedback, performance learnings, and senior creative direction
This is a role for someone who can design full digital experiences, not only isolated graphics.
What we're looking for
- Strong digital design ability: You should have a strong eye for layout, typography, spacing, hierarchy, imagery, colour, and visual consistency. You should be able to design polished digital work that feels premium, commercially useful, and appropriate for the brand. You should be comfortable designing for web, mobile, ecommerce, email, and paid social.
- Figma expertise: Figma is essential. You should be confident building clean files, using components, organising pages, preparing design systems, working with brand guidelines, and handing designs over clearly. You should be able to create website layouts, landing page designs, campaign assets, and brand systems inside Figma without needing heavy direction.
- Ecommerce and Shopify design experience: You should understand how ecommerce pages work. That means designing for product discovery, conversion, offer clarity, trust, mobile experience, product storytelling, social proof, checkout flow, and campaign performance. Experience designing for Shopify is strongly preferred. You do not need to be a Shopify developer, but you should understand how Shopify pages are structured and what makes a design practical to build.
- UX/UI understanding: You should understand the basics of good UX/UI design. Clear navigation. Clean page flow. Strong calls to action. Mobile usability. Logical content hierarchy. Consistent components. Simple user journeys. This is not a pure product design role, but UX/UI thinking matters because the work needs to perform.
- Brand identity and guidelines: You should understand brand identity properly. That includes logos, typography, colour systems, image style, tone, layout rules, visual guidelines, and how to apply a brand consistently across digital touchpoints. Experience creating or developing brand guidelines is a strong advantage. Experience with technology branding, consumer technology, or future-facing brands would be especially relevant.
- Paid social and Meta ad design: You should be able to design paid social creative for Meta campaigns. That means understanding hooks, formats, visual hierarchy, product-led creative, UGC layouts, offer-led ads, social-first design, and how to make an ad clear within seconds. You do not need to be a media buyer, but you should understand how design affects ad performance.
- Agency delivery: You should be comfortable working in a fast-moving agency environment. That means taking feedback well, working across multiple clients, keeping files organised, communicating clearly, and producing polished work quickly. You should be able to take direction from senior leads while still bringing your own design judgement to the work.
