Role Description
This is a full-time, on-site role based in Farnworth for a Business Development Manager (BDM) in Food Manufacturing. The BDM will identify and secure new business opportunities, build and maintain strong client relationships, and achieve sales targets. Responsibilities include:
- Conducting market research
- Creating sales strategies
- Negotiating contracts
- Managing client accounts
- Collaborating with internal departments to ensure product and service delivery aligned with client expectations
- Representing the company at trade shows, industry events, and meetings to expand business opportunities
Qualifications
- Proven experience in Business Development, Sales, or Account Management within the food manufacturing or FMCG industry
- Strong networking, relationship-building, and communication skills
- Ability to perform market research, identify trends, and develop sales strategies
- Proficient negotiation and contract management skills
- Ability to meet and exceed targets while managing multiple client accounts
- Self-motivated, goal-oriented, and able to thrive in a dynamic environment
- Familiarity with food manufacturing processes and product knowledge is advantageous
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Sales, Marketing, or related field preferred
- Willingness to travel for client meetings and industry events
