We are seeking a highly experienced Principal Business Consultant with deep, hands‑on expertise in Temenos T24 / Transact core banking implementations. This is a technically demanding, client‑facing role where you will act as the senior subject matter expert (SME) across multiple T24 functional domains, driving complex implementation, migration, and upgrade programmes for Tier 1 and Tier 2 banking clients across Singapore and the broader SEA region. You will be expected to own the full functional lifecycle — from requirements blueprinting through to go‑live — while bridging the gap between business stakeholders and the technical delivery team. Candidates who can only operate at a high‑level advisory capacity without deep system knowledge will not be suitable for this role.

Key Responsibilities

  • Functional Architecture & Requirements
    • Lead T24 functional design workshops with C‑suite, product owners, and operations teams across Retail, Corporate, Trade Finance, and Treasury banking domains.
    • Produce detailed Functional Specification Documents (FSDs), Business Requirement Documents (BRDs), and Functional Design Documents (FDDs) mapped to T24 module configurations.
    • Define target‑state operating models aligned to T24 Transact capabilities including AA (Arrangement Architecture), EB, FT, and LC modules.
    • Drive gap analysis between client requirements and out‑of‑the‑box T24 functionality — recommending parameterisation vs. localisation vs. bespoke development.
  • T24 Configuration & Technical Oversight
    • Configure and validate T24 AA product framework including Product Lines, Product Groups, Conditions, and Arrangement definitions for Loans, Deposits, CASA, and Trade products.
    • Review and approve T24 TAFC/TAFJ‑based customisations, OFS message structures, and TSA Server configurations with development teams.
    • Oversee T24 COB (Close of Business) batch sequence design and validate batch job configurations for business‑critical end‑of‑day processing.
    • Hands‑on validation of T24 interfaces — SWIFT (MT/MX), ISO 20022, host‑to‑host integrations, and middleware (MQ, Kafka) message flows.
    • Review T24 USER/VERSION/ENQUIRY/NOFILE configurations and conduct peer reviews of developer‑built components.
  • Migration, Upgrade & Cutover
    • Lead data migration strategy for T24 implementations — including account, customer, GL, and standing order migration from legacy core banking platforms (Flexcube, Finacle, BankMaster, etc.).
    • Own cutover planning, rehearsal scheduling, go/no‑go criteria definition, and hyper‑care support playbook.
    • Define and execute T24 version upgrade impact assessments — identifying deprecated features, mandatory service patches, and regression risk areas.
    • Manage T24 Model Bank baseline configuration and delta analysis between client environment and Temenos reference model.
  • Testing & Quality Assurance
    • Design and own the Functional Test Strategy — SIT, UAT, regression, and parallel‑run frameworks for T24 programmes.
    • Write and review T24‑specific test scenarios covering AA conditions, batch processing, interest accrual, charge definitions, and multi‑currency transactions.
    • Conduct triage of T24 defects — distinguishing configuration errors from product bugs, and managing Temenos SFR/CR submissions where required.
    • Validate T24 financial reconciliation outputs — GL balancing, MIS reporting, and regulatory reporting feeds (MAS 610, BASEL III).
  • Stakeholder Management & Delivery Leadership
    • Act as the primary functional escalation point for project teams, client business owners, and Temenos Professional Services.
    • Manage functional workstream planning, resource allocation, and milestone tracking within T24 delivery programmes.
    • Conduct impact assessment and change control analysis for scope changes mid‑implementation.
    • Mentor and provide technical direction to junior and mid‑level T24 consultants on the engagement.

Mandatory Technical Requirements

  • Domain Required Knowledge
    • T24 Core Modules: AA Framework, EB, FT, AC, RE, LD, MM, SC, TT, LC, DE (Data Enrichment)
    • T24 Architecture: TAFJ / TAFC runtime, jBASE, Universe/UniData, OFS, TSA, COB architecture
    • T24 Tooling: T24 Design Studio (TDS), T24 Browser, IRIS (Infinity), Model Bank, T24 Connector
    • Integration: SWIFT MT/MX, ISO 20022, API Banking (REST/SOAP), Kafka/MQ, Connect24
    • Regulatory (SG): MAS 610 reporting, AML/CFT, FATCA/CRS, local GIRO/FAST/PayNow integration
    • Database: MS SQL Server / Oracle — T24 table structures and data query capability
    • Migration Tools: T24 data migration utilities, CSV loaders, OFS batch scripting

Experience Requirements

  • Minimum 10 years of hands‑on T24 functional consulting experience — across at least 3 full end‑to‑end T24 implementations.
  • Must have worked on T24 versions R18 or later (R21 / R22 / Transact SaaS experience strongly preferred).
  • Experience with at least two banking verticals: Retail Banking, Corporate Banking, Trade Finance, Treasury, or Private Banking.
  • Prior engagement with MAS‑regulated financial institutions or equivalent APAC regulatory environments.
  • Proven track record leading functional workstreams of 5+ consultants in a structured delivery programme (Agile/Waterfall/Hybrid).
  • Experience interfacing directly with Temenos PS, Temenos Product, and regional SI partners (TCS, Infosys, Synpulse, PwC, Deloitte).

Preferred Qualifications

  • Temenos Certified Implementation Professional (TCIP) or equivalent Temenos certification.
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Banking, Finance, or related discipline.
  • CBAP, PMP, or equivalent business analysis / project management certification.
  • Exposure to Temenos Infinity (digital banking front‑end) integration with T24 back‑end.
  • Familiarity with T24 SaaS / cloud‑hosted deployment on Azure or AWS.
  • Prior experience in a product ownership or T24 pre‑sales capacity is a plus.

Competencies & Soft Skills

  • Exceptional stakeholder management — able to hold executive‑level conversations and simultaneously direct technical teams.
  • Strong written and verbal communication — comfortable producing client‑facing documentation to consulting‑grade standard.
  • High analytical rigour — able to independently debug T24 configuration issues without relying on vendor support.
  • Structured problem‑solver — applies root cause analysis (RCA) discipline to complex functional defects.
  • Delivery‑focused — comfortable operating in high‑pressure, time‑boxed programme environments.
