Blayze Group are currently recruiting for a Senior Technical Coordinator on behalf of one of the UK's most progressive residential developers. This is an exciting opportunity to join a highly experienced technical team, reporting directly to the Senior Design Manager, and play a key role in delivering a landmark mixed-use development in the heart of Camden.
The Project
- Located in the Camden region, this flagship development will deliver:
- c300 purpose-built student accommodation (PBSA) beds, including affordable accommodation.
- c30 affordable residential homes.
- Approximately 8,000 sq ft of ground-floor commercial space.
- Three architecturally distinctive buildings ranging from 6 to 12 storeys.
The Role
Reporting into the Senior Design Manager, you will take ownership of technical coordination throughout the construction phase, ensuring consultant teams, subcontractors and site operations are aligned to deliver a high-quality project safely, efficiently and on programme.
Key responsibilities include:
- Coordinating architectural, structural and MEP design information.
- Managing consultant teams and ensuring information is issued in line with programme requirements.
- Reviewing technical drawings and resolving design issues before construction.
- Liaising closely with site, commercial and project management teams.
- Managing RFIs, technical queries and drawing approvals.
- Supporting statutory approvals and ensuring compliance with Building Regulations and NHBC requirements.
- Attending design team meetings and driving technical solutions throughout the build process.
- Assisting with value engineering while maintaining design quality and project objectives.
About You
- Previous experience as a Technical Coordinator or Senior Technical Coordinator with a residential developer or main contractor.
- A strong understanding of RC frame residential developments.
- Excellent knowledge of UK Building Regulations and construction detailing.
- Experience coordinating multidisciplinary consultant teams.
- Strong communication, organisational and problem-solving skills.
- The ability to manage multiple workstreams in a fast-paced project environment.
