This is a fast-growing, design-led residential developer focused exclusively on London. With significant investment into the capital’s housing market in recent years, the business is continuing to scale at pace.
As MEP Manager, you will take ownership of all mechanical, electrical and public health systems across multiple residential schemes — from acquisition through to handover. This is a key role within the construction team, requiring strong technical expertise, commercial awareness, and the ability to drive coordination across consultants, contractors, and internal stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities- Project Planning & Coordination
- Review and challenge MEP designs to ensure compliance, efficiency and value
- Coordinate with architects, structural engineers and wider design teams
- Develop and implement Testing & Commissioning programmes (minimum 6 months prior to PC)
- Oversee phased testing strategies to support staged occupation
- Support the commercial team during procurement, including contractor selection
- Delivery & Quality Assurance
- Oversee installation of all MEP systems across projects
- Carry out site inspections, factory visits and progress reviews
- Lead technical problem-solving to maintain programme
- Chair coordination and progress meetings
- Manage ITPs and QA processes, ensuring Golden Thread compliance
- Subcontractor Management
- Select, manage and monitor MEP subcontractors and suppliers
- Review RAMS and ensure full compliance with H&S and quality standards
- Commercial & Technical Input
- Advise on heating and cooling strategies
- Identify and drive value engineering opportunities
- Compliance & Handover
- Ensure full compliance with building regulations and environmental standards
- Maintain accurate documentation and reporting
- Support Gateway 2 & 3 submissions
- Proven experience as an MEP Manager within residential construction
- Strong technical knowledge across MEP systems and current regulations
- Experience managing multiple projects simultaneously
- Excellent coordination, leadership and communication skills
- Proactive, self-motivated and solutions-driven
- Degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering (or similar)
- Project management qualification (e.g. PMP) desirable
