I’m working with a leading contractor who is looking to appoint a Senior Estimator to strengthen their pre-construction team, supporting a strong pipeline of secured and framework-based work across the South East.

This is a key role where you’ll take the lead on major tenders, driving bid strategy, managing risk and ultimately helping secure profitable, high-quality projects.

I’m particularly keen to speak with candidates from a main contractor background, with solid experience working across education frameworks and negotiated schemes.

The role:

  • You’ll be leading tenders from initial enquiry through to submission, working closely with internal teams and the supply chain to build competitive, deliverable bids. This includes developing methodology, managing subcontract enquiries, analysing returns and presenting at tender settlements.
  • You’ll also play a key role in value engineering, risk management and supporting design development throughout the pre-construction phase.

Key experience:

  • Main contractor background is highly desirable.
  • Strong experience working on frameworks and negotiated workstreams.
  • Proven track record leading tenders across sectors such as education, healthcare or industrial.
  • Comfortable pricing schemes £20m+
  • Strong knowledge of procurement routes including D&B and two-stage tenders.
  • Proficient with estimating software (Conquest preferred) and Excel.
  • Commercially astute with a strong understanding of risk and value engineering.
  • Confident leading bid processes and presenting to senior stakeholders.
