A Property Developer that specialises in residential led, mixed use development of projects across London is looking to appoint a Development Manager to support key development projects that range from £200m+ GDV through the development process, supporting the early stage feasibility & design, pre-development process to support acquisitions and delivery of successful planning consent and beyond.
DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
- Reporting into the Development Director
- Strong financial appraisal and feasibility experience of high density residential development schemes including high rise towers.
- Develop project development delivery programmes, and drive teams to achieve goals.
- Develop, maintain, monitor and report against, detailed development appraisals, programmes and budgets.
- Manage all external consultants and professional team, to support key deliverables and successful outcomes to achieve project milestones.
- Ensure the design of the development is progressively signed off internally at appropriate stages.
- Ensure construction costs and risks are accurately managed, monitored and reported through the development process.
- Monitor financial planning of development and strong control of the financial development appraisal.
- Develop a sustainability strategy in line with corporate and project objectives; oversee implementation.
- Manage town planning risks and negotiations in consultation with planning team and consultants.
SKILLS, EXPERIENCE & QUALIFICATIONS
- Proven track record in pre-development and project management of major projects [RIBA STAGE 1-4] that are high density residential schemes in Central London.
- Knowledge of environmental and social governance.
- Broad knowledge base of the development business essential, with a background in architecture & design, land, planning and development or project management.
- Strong knowledge and understanding of the commercial viability and key delivery elements of residential construction.
- Broad experiences of building types and development process.
- Knowledge of working within a partnership or joint venture structure.
- Foster effective communication across stakeholders and professional team.
