A Real Estate Property Development & Investment company is seeking a Design Director to provide strategic leadership and responsibility for their UK Development portfolio and flagship schemes.
You will be responsible for managing projects across the full development lifecycle from RIBA stages 1-7 early concept and feasibility, through post planning and technical design.
You will lead and work collaboratively with senior internal and external stakeholders to drive the design strategy and direction and co-ordination of their key projects to ensure their benchmarks for design and sustainable excellence and operational performance are met.
We are looking for the following attributes and experience:
- A Senior Design Management professional; Design Director or Senior Design Manager
- A background in architecture (technical) or design management for a real estate property developer.
- Knowledge and experience in delivering complex mixed use, large scale high rise residential developments is essential.
- A background and practical knowledge of delivering BTR, PBSA, Co-living asset classes through the development cycle is of strong interest.
- Comprehensive understanding of UK Planning policy, Technical Design, Gateway 1 & 2 strategy and implementation; construction and technical Design co-ordination.
- Commercial decision making and strong stakeholder management of professional teams.
