A high-end residential contractor is searching for an Assistant Quantity Surveyor to join the business. The company is managing an exceptional refurbishment to a listed building and a new construction of a main residence in Oxford with a project value of £20 million.

The company is ideally looking for a candidate with two to three years of experience who is ambitious and is looking to push their career forward by taking on more responsibility. Your responsibilities:

  • You will play an active role in preparing subcontractor and material enquiries, building relationships, and supporting a smooth procurement process.
  • You will assist in assembling subcontract orders, ensuring every document, insurance, and package detail is in place to keep projects moving seamlessly.
  • You will support the management of subcontractor accounts, gaining hands-on experience with remeasurement, tracking variations, and monitoring provisional sums.
  • You will take ownership of recording and pricing project variations, sharpening your commercial skills while supporting accurate and reliable final accounts.
  • You will review subcontractor applications for payment, preparing timely payment notices and strengthening financial control across projects.
  • You will contribute to valuations, cost analysis, and reporting, collaborating closely with the Senior Quantity Surveyor to develop your expertise and progress your career.

  • You will have or will be working towards a Degree in Quantity Surveying or an HNC in Construction, providing a solid foundation for your professional development.
