The company is renowned for delivering exceptional residential projects throughout the South of England.

They are seeking an experienced Senior Quantity Surveyor to play a key role in the commercial management and successful delivery of these high-quality projects.
This opportunity would suit an experienced Quantity Surveyor ready to take the next step in their career or an established Senior Quantity Surveyor looking to join a supportive and growing contractor.
Your Role
You will take responsibility for the commercial management of projects from the pre-construction handover through to final account.
Working closely with the Contracts Managers, Site Managers, clients, consultants, subcontractors and suppliers, you will help ensure projects are delivered on time, within budget and to the highest standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage project budgets, forecasts, cash flow, costs, risks and commercial reporting.
- Manage subcontractor procurement, valuations, payments, variations and final accounts.
- Prepare and manage client applications, variations, contractual notices and commercial submissions.
- Ensure compliance with JCT contracts and the companys commercial procedures.
- Provide clear commercial guidance to Contracts Managers and Site Managers.
- Monitor the commercial performance of each project and identify and manage potential risks.
- Lead value-engineering and procurement initiatives to improve project value and profitability.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, consultants, subcontractors and suppliers.
- Mentor and support Assistant Quantity Surveyors.
Qualifications and Experience
- Proven experience as a Quantity Surveyor, preferably within main contracting, high-end residential construction or restoration.
- A degree, Higher National Certificate or Higher National Diploma in Quantity Surveying, Commercial Management or a related discipline.
- Experience managing the commercial aspects of multiple projects simultaneously.
- Strong knowledge of JCT contracts and construction commercial management.
- Experience managing project costs, valuations, variations and final accounts.
- Strong negotiation and communication skills.
- The confidence to build effective relationships with people at all levels.
- A professional and proactive approach to problem-solving.
- Good information technology skills, including Microsoft Excel.
- A full UK driving licence.
