Estimator – Civil Engineering & Groundworks Winchester, Hampshire Salary up to £90,000 or Day Rate Car Allowance 25 Days Holiday Pension Blaymires Recruitment is representing a well-established regional contractor based near Winchester who is seeking an Estimator with strong Civil Engineering or Groundworks experience to join their growing team. The company has been successfully trading for over 15 years and delivers a wide range of building, civil engineering, and groundworks projects across the South, typically with values up to £3M. This position would suit an Estimator or Senior Estimator with a proven background in Civil Engineering or Groundworks who is looking for a long-term opportunity within a friendly and supportive contractor. Key Responsibilities: * Prepare detailed cost estimates for civil engineering and groundworks projects. * Read and review internal and external designs and specifications. * Carry out take-offs from design drawings. * Build up Bills of Quantities (BoQ). * Liaise with specialist subcontractors to obtain quotations. * Produce and issue tender packs. * Review and analyse subcontractor tender returns. * Prepare and present tender documentation. * Assess and score tender enquiries based on price, margin, and suitability. * Recommend suitable forms of contract and delivery strategies. * Liaise with all members of the construction and commercial teams. * Support the preparation of handover documentation for project delivery. * Work closely with the Managing Director throughout the tender process. * Proficient in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel).
