Blaymires Recruitment is representing a respected main contractor based near Whiteley who is searching for a Site Manager to join the business. The company delivers a mix of commercial and residential projects, including new build and refurbishment, for private clients, local authorities and commercial organisations. Project values typically range up to £5m.
This is a hands-on role, offering responsibility for managing sites from pre-start through to completion, ensuring projects are delivered safely, on time, to programme and to a high standard of quality.
The Role
- Managing projects from site set-up through to practical completion and handover.
- Coordinating subcontractors, direct labour and suppliers.
- Ensuring works are delivered safely, on programme and within budget.
- Maintaining high standards of quality and workmanship.
- Chairing site meetings and liaising with clients, consultants and the commercial team.
- Ensuring compliance with health & safety legislation and company procedures.
- Maintaining site records, reports and programmes.
- Supporting and mentoring junior site staff where required.
About You
- Proven experience as a Site Manager within a main contracting environment.
- Experience delivering commercial and/or residential projects.
- Strong knowledge of construction processes and sequencing.
- Excellent understanding of health & safety requirements.
- SMSTS, CSCS and First Aid certificates (essential).
- Strong leadership and communication skills.
- Organised, proactive and able to manage multiple workstreams.
