Blaymires Recruitment is representing one of the UKs leading modular construction specialists, delivering innovative offsite building solutions across the Education, MoD and residential sectors. Due to continued growth, the company is seeking a motivated Designer to join its expanding team. This is an excellent opportunity for a design professional with construction or modular building experience to work on a wide range of exciting projects, supporting the delivery of high-quality modular buildings from concept through to manufacture and installation.
The Role
As a Designer, you will support the development and coordination of modular building designs across multiple projects, working closely with internal teams, consultants and clients to deliver practical, compliant and innovative solutions. You will play a key role in producing technical drawings, coordinating design information and ensuring projects are delivered efficiently and accurately.
Key Responsibilities
- Produce and develop technical design drawings and project documentation.
- Assist with design development from concept through to construction and manufacture.
- Coordinate with Architects, Engineers, Project Managers and external consultants.
- Ensure designs comply with building regulations, client specifications and company standards.
- Support the integration of sustainable and innovative design solutions.
- Prepare and review drawings, schedules and BIM models using AutoCAD and Revit.
- Attend design meetings and contribute to project coordination activities.
- Assist with resolving technical and design-related issues during project delivery.
- Support continuous improvement within the design department.
About You
- Degree qualified or HNC/HND qualified in Architecture, Architectural Technology, Engineering or a related discipline.
- Experience within construction, modular building, manufacturing or design consultancy environments.
- Good technical understanding of construction methods and building regulations.
- Proficient in AutoCAD, Revit and BIM software.
- Strong communication and organisational skills.
- Ability to manage workload across multiple projects.
- Positive and collaborative approach to teamwork.
- Keen interest in modern methods of construction and sustainable design.

Monday to Thursday: 8.30am - 5.00pm
