Blaymires Recruitment is representing a consultancy based near Southampton who is searching for a Chartered Quantity Surveyor. The consultancy works closely with their clients to understand and manage cladding and internal combustibility risk, defects and remedial issues. They are presently overseeing the refurbishment of multiple facades on residential buildings and they work with a wide range of clients from social housing providers, landlords, private consortiums and management companies.
The successful candidate will be responsible for inviting contractors to tender, placing orders, making payments, monitoring costs and preparing final accounts. This role would suit a Chartered Quantity Surveyor from a Consultancy or Main Contracting background who is looking for an interesting role.
Requirements of the Chartered Quantity Surveyor:- Over 5 years Quantity Surveying experience.
- Consultancy or Main Contracting background.
- Strong knowledge of building appropriate Scope of Works documents and Bills of Quantities.
- Experienced in tender and subcontract account processes.
- Organised with sharp financial and cost management skills.
- Astute in invoice and payment collation / management.
- Good understanding of JCT forms of contract.
- MRICS.
