Blaymires Recruitment is representing a high-end residential contractor who is searching for an Assistant Quantity Surveyor to join the business. The company is managing an exceptional refurbishment to a listed building and a new construction of a main residence in Oxford with a project value of 20 million.
The company is ideally looking for a candidate with two to three years of experience who is ambitious and is looking to push their career forward by taking on more responsibility. You will have the opportunity to work on beautiful and individual projects within a team setting where ongoing training and development will be offered to you and in return you will build a long term and successful career with this brilliant company.
Your responsibilities:
- You will play an active role in preparing subcontractor and material enquiries, building relationships, and supporting a smooth procurement process.
- You will assist in assembling subcontract orders, ensuring every document, insurance, and package detail is in place to keep projects moving seamlessly.
- You will support the management of subcontractor accounts, gaining hands-on experience with remeasurement, tracking variations, and monitoring provisional sums.
- You will take ownership of recording and pricing project variations, sharpening your commercial skills while supporting accurate and reliable final accounts.
- You will review subcontractor applications for payment, preparing timely payment notices and strengthening financial control across projects.
- You will contribute to valuations, cost analysis, and reporting, collaborating closely with the Senior Quantity Surveyor to develop your expertise and progress your career.

- You will have or will be working towards a Degree in Quantity Surveying or an HNC in Construction, providing a solid foundation for your professional development.
