Our governing body is responsible for, amongst other duties, promoting high standards of educational achievement. With this in mind, we want to take this opportunity to draw your attention to a vacancy which has recently arisen, which is to serve in a voluntary capacity as a parent governor member of our board. The role of the parent governor offers an opportunity to make a real contribution to the strategic leadership of the school.

Although this can be a demanding and delicate role, there is ample support and training available, in the first instance from the Governor Support Team at Brighton & Hove City Council. Parent governors will find working alongside the other members of the board, including the clerk, both interesting and rewarding. Your efforts will ensure that the work of the governing body fulfils its duties to all pupils at the school.
