Our Patient Solutions Team are proud to provide the wheelchair service on behalf of the NHS in Derbyshire. We have a fantastic opportunity for a Stores Operative to join our team.
The role:
- Process orders received, by allocating from existing stock or purchase of new stock to meet the key performance indicators of the department.
- Receive goods or services on behalf of the company.
- Check all received goods for correctness to quantity, description, weight, volume, or company.
- Process orders received from Clinical and Field Service Engineers.
- Support stock management, including items returned to the depot.
- Prepare stock for booked clinical handovers and/or Field Service Engineer jobs.
- Liaise with the suppliers and internal departments over any queries that may arise from those deliveries.
- Carry out administrative duties as deemed necessary by the Goods In/Receiving function and all basic stock control requirements.
- Undertake all kitting requirements for Job Orders.
- Build required assembly levels of product.
- Participate in Stock Checks.
- Undertake driving duties as required.
- Operate the forklift truck (if licensed) or any other mechanical/electrical equipment as deemed necessary.
What are we looking for?
- GCSE, or equivalent in English and Maths
- Full UK driving licence
- Forklift licence (desirable)
- Ability to manage and prioritise own workload
- Flexible and adaptable
