We have an exciting opportunity for a Manufacturing Technician - CNC Milling to join our team at our manufacturing site in Basingstoke.

Hours: Monday to Friday 6am – 2pm & 2pm – 10pm, alternating weekly.

The role: As Manufacturing Technician - CNC Milling, you will operate the manufacturing plant in the Flexible Manufacturing Unit.

Key duties and responsibilities:

  • Loading and unloading billets and piece parts into CNC Machining Centres for manufacturing processes.
  • Operating CNC equipment to produce parts as assigned.
  • Monitoring machines to detect equipment or process errors.
  • Stopping machines and reporting if necessary to prevent failures.
  • Maintaining machines and equipment used.
  • Monitoring and taking responsibility for the quality of components using a wide range of equipment including CMM inspection.
  • Completing production documentation, written and electronic.

What are we looking for? As Manufacturing Technician - CNC Milling, you will have the following:

Essential skills:

  • Previous experience in operating vertical and horizontal machining centres manufacturing close tolerance prismatic parts safely and efficiently.
  • Previous experience of accurately using standard manual measuring equipment and gauges.
  • Ability to interpret a variety of instructions in English furnished in either written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
  • Basic PC skills.
  • Good mechanical aptitude and excellent hand/eye coordination.
  • Familiarity with hand deburring tools.
  • Ability to undertake repetitive tasks consistently and accurately to verbal or written instructions.
  • Strong attention to detail.
  • Self-motivated and reliable.
