We have an exciting opportunity for a Prosthetist-Orthotist to join our small team at this unique facility. The role As Prosthetist-Orthotist , provide and promote a high standard of prosthetic and orthotic care and treatment across a range of amputation levels and patient pathologies ensuring best practice is applied in a multi-disciplinary team environment. Key duties: Providing a high standard of prosthetic and orthotic care to all patients across a range of amputation levels and pathologies. Assessing, measuring, casting and fitting patients and rectifying models, using traditional methods and CADCAM where appropriate Ensuring that patients’ individual needs are respected with an emphasis on clear explanations of proposed interventions Prioritising workload and using time effectively to meet deadlines. Identifying service improvements to ensure efficient and effective use of resources Developing a good relationship with work colleagues in the clinical, technical, military and administrative fields What are we looking for? As Prosthetist-Orthotist, you will have the following. Key skills BSc and BSc (Hons) Prosthetics & Orthotics HCPC registration Membership of BAPO/ISPO Previous experience as a Prosthetist/Orthotist working with both upper and lower extremities. Previous experience working with trauma patients. Problem solving skills Good written and oral communications skills Team player with the ability to work autonomously General IT skills – word, PowerPoint, email Driving Licence What can we offer you?
