We are looking for a qualified Prosthetist to join our specialist team based at the West Midlands Rehabilitation Centre, Selly Oak, Birmingham. The role:
As a Prosthetist you will join this specialist rehabilitation centre, this is an exciting opportunity to further develop your career in a busy clinic where you will support a complex range of patients.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assessing, measuring, casting, fitting, supplying, reviewing, and adjusting prosthetics across a range of amputation levels.
- Managing your patient’s case, ensuring needs are respected and the patient is informed throughout the process.
- Maintaining appropriate clinical notes and records.
- Identifying, in conjunction with the Area Manager and other team members, service development and/or improvements to ensure efficient and effective use of resource.
- Making a proactive contribution to the Service Contract and Company as a whole.
What are we looking for?
Essential skills and experience:
- Qualified in Prosthetics/Orthotics.
- HCPC registration.
- Be competent in lower limb prosthetics.
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Team player.
- Able to work autonomously.
- Highly customer focused.
- Member of BAPO/ISPO (desirable).
