Graduate Orthotist

Working in partnership with the NHS, Blatchford provides the orthotic service across Northamptonshire & Bedfordshire. We are looking for Graduates to support our clinics across the region. This is a highly varied role where you will treat a wide range of patients and work in collaboration with a multi-disciplinary clinical team. The role: As a Graduate Orthotist you will use your clinical skill and experience to contribute to the delivery of a first class Orthotic Clinical Service. We are seeking a Graduate Orthotist with broad-based experience who is looking for an opportunity to develop and contribute. Key Responsibilities: Supporting a caseload of clients with a wide range of complex conditions and recommending the best course of intervention. Effectively communicating with informed patient consent, discussing the reasons for the prescription. Providing counselling, advice, and support as necessary to maximise rehabilitation potential and to ensure understanding of condition. Assessing, measuring, casting, fitting, supplying, reviewing, and adjusting orthoses as required. Maintaining appropriate clinical notes and records. Providing training in the field of Orthotics at all levels What are we looking for? Essential skills and experience Qualified in Prosthetics/Orthotics HCPC registration Member of BAPO/ISPO (desirable) Experience in a wide range of orthotic provision including paediatrics, orthopaedics, and footwear. Able to prioritise and manage workload. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, capable of communicating with colleagues at all levels. Be able to manage difficult, challenging, and sensitive situations. Good judgment and decision-making skills What can we offer you?
