The Role As Buyer you will place external purchase orders in line with production requirements and non-stock purchase orders in line with requisition approval requirements. Expedite suppliers to ensure parts and services are delivered on time and ensure sufficient capacity exists within the supply chain and if required identify gaps and drive the introduction of new suppliers.Raising and scheduling Purchase Orders, to deliver goods and services at the right price and timeframe that meets the business needsFirst point of contact for any purchase order queries, internally or externallyExpediting and reporting to management on status of parts and purchase ordersRepresenting purchasing at daily production meetings and liaising with the Site Lead Operational ManagerCreating and maintaining reports relevant to the expediting processWorking in conjunction with the Supplier Development Engineer to implement root cause investigation improvements with supplier as requiredManaging and owning supplier relationshipsResolving invoice discrepancies in a timely mannerIdentifying potential alternative suppliersWhat are we looking for?
