We have an exciting opportunity for an Assembly Technician to join our team at our head office in Basingstoke.
The role:
As Assembly Technician you will assemble, service and repair electrical/mechanical components, including pneumatics and hydraulics. You will determine the action required when a product is returned.
Key duties and responsibilities:
- Assembling of electrical/mechanical components including pneumatics and hydraulics using drawings and work instructions.
- Self-inspection and testing.
- Final inspection of finished goods with a strong commitment to quality.
- Picking of parts and kits required to carry out tasks.
- Acquisition of spare parts as required for repair technicians.
- Creation of requests to return product to customer, stock, service stock or for scrap.
- Scrappage of products and associated parts deemed of no further use.
What are we looking for?
As Assembly Technician, you will have the following:
Key skills and experience:
- Educated to GCSE level C or above in Maths and English.
- Computer literate and able to work with Microsoft Office or equivalent.
- Electronic/electro-mechanical assembly or service experience.
- Ability to communicate at a technical level and hold their own, both internally with NPD Engineers and Customers.
- Thorough understanding of electro-mechanical and hydro-pneumatic assemblies.
- Team player.
- Ability to communicate at all levels.
