Our Patient Solutions Team are proud to provide the wheelchair service on behalf of the NHS in Derbyshire. We have a fantastic opportunity for a Stores Operative to join our team.

The role involves processing orders received, by allocating from existing stock or purchase of new stock to meet the key performance indicators of the department. This will involve working with the different departments in the wheelchair service.

Key duties:

  • Receiving goods or services on behalf of the company.
  • Checking all received goods for correctness to quantity, description, weight, volume, or company.
  • Processing orders received from Clinical and Field Service Engineers.
  • Supporting stock management, including items returned to the depot.
  • Preparing stock for booked clinical handovers and/or Field Service Engineer jobs.
  • Liaising with the suppliers and internal departments over any queries that may arise from those deliveries.
  • Carrying out administrative duties as deemed necessary by the Goods In/Receiving function and all basic stock control requirements.
  • Undertaking all kitting requirements for Job Orders.
  • Building required assembly levels of product.
  • Participating in Stock Checks.
  • Undertaking driving duties as required.
  • Operating the forklift truck (if licensed) or any other mechanical/electrical equipment as deemed necessary.

  • Forklift licence (desirable)
