We have an exciting opportunity for a Manufacturing Technician to join our second operations team at our brand-new, state-of-the-art manufacturing facility in Basingstoke.
This role is offered on a six-month, fixed-term contract. Hours: Monday to Friday, 8am - 5pm.
The role:
- Finishing of metal components using a variety of equipment and techniques.
Key duties and responsibilities:
- Hand finishing metal components.
- Deburring components and completing secondary operations in cycle as required.
- Monitoring the quality of components using a wide range of equipment.
- Maintaining machines and equipment used including breaking down tooling and fixtures and cleaning equipment.
- Completing production documentation, written and electronic.
What are we looking for?
As a Manufacturing Technician, you will have the following:
Essential skills:
- Previous experience of using moving machinery.
- Ability to read engineering drawings and understanding CMM reports.
- Previous experience of using manual measuring equipment.
- Manual dexterity.
- Excellent hand to eye co-ordination.
- Self-motivated and reliable.
- Positive, flexible working attitude.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills.
