We are proud to provide the Prosthetic and Orthotic services on behalf of the NHS for the Northern General Hospital in Sheffield. We have an exciting opportunity for a Prosthetic Technician to join our existing team.
The role involves working alongside a highly skilled, multi-disciplinary team to manufacture and repair a variety of prosthetic limbs, providing a quality, cost-effective service to meet the requirements of the service contract.
Key duties:- Manufacturing and repairing prosthetic limbs as instructed.
- Liaising closely with the prosthetist to ensure manufacture, repair or maintenance of the prosthesis is matched to the patient's individual requirements.
- Liaising with other technical staff to ensure work is completed consistently, efficiently and accurately within deadlines.
- Assisting with training of new staff or placement students.
- Attending team meetings to discuss and actively contribute to meeting operational requirements and service improvements.
- Liaising closely with Technician Leads with Personal Development Reviews and implementation of training plans for the technicians.
- Developing and maintaining good working relationships with prosthetic and technical teams, therapists and Consultants.
