We have a fantastic opportunity for a Graduate Prosthetist to join our existing team based at the Northern General Hospital, Sheffield. As a Graduate Prosthetist you will work as an integral member of a strong MDT in this busy centre, where you will have the opportunity to further develop your experience in all areas of prosthetics. The team supports innovation including scanning and service development through evaluation, patient engagement, outcomes, and research.
The role
- Assessing, measuring, casting, fitting, delivering, reviewing, and adjusting prosthesis as required across a range of amputation levels.
- Managing patient expectations, ensuring needs are respected and that the patient is kept fully informed.
- Maintaining appropriate clinical notes and records.
- Maintaining an up to date Continuing Professional Development (CPD) Portfolio.
- Participating in postgraduate training courses arranged by the company or local centre.
- Attending meetings and conferences.
What are we looking for?
As a Graduate Prosthetist you will have the following:
- Degree qualified in Prosthetics and Orthotics, or equivalent.
- HCPC registration.
- BAPO or ISPO (desirable).
- Experience in lower limb prosthetics.
- Experience in delivering a range of prosthetic clinics.
- Experience or have a desire to be involved in audit or service evaluation.
