We have an exciting opportunity for a Manufacturing Technician to join our second operations team at our brand-new, state-of-the-art manufacturing facility in Basingstoke. This role is offered on a six-month, fixed-term contract. Hours: Monday to Friday, 8am - 5pm.
The role: As Manufacturing Technician, you will be responsible for the finishing of metal components using a variety of equipment and techniques.
- Hand finishing metal components
- Deburring components and completing secondary operations in cycle as required
- Monitoring the quality of components using a wide range of equipment
- Maintaining machines and equipment used including breaking down tooling and fixtures and cleaning equipment
- Completing production documentation, written and electronic
What are we looking for? As Manufacturing Technician, you will have the following:
Essential skills:- Previous experience of using moving machinery
- Ability to read engineering drawings and understanding CMM reports
- Previous experience of using manual measuring equipment
- Manual dexterity
- Excellent hand to eye co-ordination
- Self-motivated and reliable
- Positive, flexible working attitude
- Good communication and interpersonal skills
