We are proud to be the sole provider of Prosthetic and Orthotics services for the Defence Medical Rehabilitation Centre at Stanford Hall. We have an exciting opportunity for a Prosthetic Technician to join our small team at this unique facility.
The role involves working alongside a highly skilled, multi-disciplinary team to manufacture, repair, and adjust a range of bespoke prosthetic products to ensure our Military Service Personnel receive the fastest access to rehabilitation.
Key duties:
- Manufacturing and repairing prosthetic limbs as instructed.
- Liaising closely with the prosthetist to ensure manufacture, repair or maintenance of the prosthesis is matched to the patient's individual requirements.
- Liaising with other technical staff to ensure work is completed consistently, efficiently and accurately within deadlines.
- Assisting with training of new staff or placement students.
- Attending team meetings to discuss and actively contribute to meeting operational requirements and service improvements.
- Liaising closely with Technician Leads with Personal Development Reviews and implementation of training plans for the technicians.
- Developing and maintaining good working relationships with prosthetic and technical teams, therapists, Consultants and other MoD colleagues.
