We have an exciting opportunity for an Assembly Technician to join our team at our head office in Basingstoke.

The role: As Assembly Technician you will assemble, service and repair electrical/mechanical components, including pneumatics and hydraulics. You will determine the action required when a product is returned.

Key duties and responsibilities:

  • Assembling of electrical/mechanical components including pneumatics and hydraulics using drawings and work instructions.
  • Self-inspection and testing.
  • Final inspection of finished goods with a strong commitment to quality.
  • Picking of parts and kits required to carry out tasks.
  • Acquisition of spare parts as required for repair technicians.
  • Creation of requests to return products to customers, stock, service stock or for scrap.
  • Scrappage of products and associated parts deemed of no further use.

What are we looking for?

As Assembly Technician, you will have the following:

Key skills and experience:

  • Educated to GCSE level C or above in Maths and English.
  • Computer literate and able to work with Microsoft Office or equivalent.
  • Electronic/electro-mechanical assembly or service experience.
  • Good communication skills.
  • Ability to communicate at a technical level and hold their own, both internally with NPD Engineers and Customers.
  • Thorough understanding of electro-mechanical and hydro-pneumatic assemblies.
  • Team player.
  • Ability to communicate at all levels.
