We have an exciting opportunity for an Orthotic Service Administrator to join our existing team at our NHS centre in Carlisle on a part-time basis. Hours - 20 hours per week, across five days.

The role: As Orthotic Service Administrator, you will assist the Orthotists and Departmental Managers in the provision of orthoses and associated equipment to service users.

  • Communicating effectively and empathetically with patients
  • Responding to patient enquiries in a confident, pleasant, and helpful manner
  • Communicating service criteria to patients, carers, AHPs and clinical staff
  • Assisting with overall welfare of patients visiting the centre
  • Arranging hospital transportation as required
  • Ensuring all goods received for users are processed in a timely fashion
  • Ensuring all records and equipment required for orthotic clinics are made available to the Orthotist prior to the start of the clinic
  • Maintaining patient records and management information
  • Assisting in the ordering of orthotic products direct from the specified company as prescribed by the Orthotist
