The Team
You will be joining a highly talented audience team and will be responsible for delivering global marketing campaigns aimed at increasing attendance to our live events on the Epic ecosystem. Through close cross‑functional collaboration, you will build and adapt the overarching audience strategy across our social channels and BLAST.TV website to increase brand affinity for both BLAST and Epic. You will work with external agencies to plan, conceive and deliver campaign assets including: experiential launch events, trailers, OOH, digital, social and print. We are a focused, close‑knit team with strategic processes and ways of working in place to allow you the freedom to be creative whilst ensuring crucial information is shared across teams to deliver collective goals.
Responsibilities
- Strategic Planning & Execution: Develop and implement innovative marketing strategies that align with the company's goals and objectives. This includes the planning, execution, and optimisation of marketing campaigns for events, sponsorships, partnerships, and team activations.
- Campaign Management: Lead end‑to‑end campaign management from concept to execution. This includes content creation, performance analysis, and optimisation to ensure maximum ROI.
- Publisher Relationship: Build and maintain a positive and trusted relationship with Epic, managing their needs and expectations vs BLAST objectives.
- Audience Engagement: Understand the nuances of FNCS and RLCS fanbases in collaboration with the social team to create tailored marketing content that resonates with gamers, influencers, and esports enthusiasts across platforms, including social media, Twitch, YouTube, and other digital channels.
- Content Development: Work with the content team to evolve and innovate content delivery, engaging fans and building communities.
- Brand Development: Work to enhance the visibility and positioning of FNCS and RLCS, ensuring that campaigns are consistent with the brand’s values and objectives while standing out in the competitive esports and wider entertainment landscape.
- Partnerships & Sponsorships: Collaborate closely with the commercial team to maximise exposure and collaborative opportunities. Work on integrated partnership content campaigns and sponsorship activations to drive engagement and revenue.
- Data & Analytics: Work with ticketing partners and agencies to track campaign performance, identify trends, and make data‑driven recommendations to improve marketing strategies and future campaigns.
- Budget Management: Manage your ecosystem PNL, ensuring efficient allocation of resources across campaign activities and measuring the effectiveness of spend.
- Line Management: Manage any junior team members or interns we have join the audience team. Organising their projects, workload, and pastoral support.
- Deputisation: Deputise for Head of Marketing and Social in their absence to cover marketing strategy and delivery across other ecosystems.
In-depth knowledge of Fortnite and Rocket League, with direct experience working on either title.
Experience conceiving and delivering international marketing campaigns within esports, entertainment or the wider gaming industry.
Strong project management skills, including strategic planning, timelines and budgeting.
Client management experience, preferably from esports or gaming industry.
Global brand and marketing strategy expertise.
Experience working with and integrating creators/ influencers into campaigns.
