Medical negligence – Associate or Senior Associate

The role

We have an exciting opportunity for an ambitious lawyer to join our growing Clinical Negligence team.

We are looking for an Associate or Senior Associate with solid experience in clinical negligence to join our department. Experience in handling or heavily assisting with a clinical negligence caseload dealing with all stages from inception to conclusion is essential to the role. Experience with personal injury claims is desirable but not essential.

The successful candidate will be expected to have a minimum of 3 years’ PQE and a strong grasp of current case law, practices and procedures and be familiar with ADR/medication.

Key experience

This role is ideal for a lawyer with hands‑on experience handling a clinical negligence caseload. You’ll:

• Be expected to meet fee‑earning targets aligned with your experience and ability.
• Manage your own typing and administrative tasks.
• Work standard hours (9am–5pm), with flexibility to work additional hours when required.
• Be confident working with minimal supervision, while also contributing positively as a team player.

Salary dependant on PQE to be discussed at interview.
