Blantyre Capital is looking for an investment executive with an entrepreneurial spirit who has the ability to analyse financial statements and complex capital structures across a variety of industries and insolvency jurisdictions. Language skills are an advantage (German, French, Italian preferred). Compensation would vary depending on experience and skillset of the candidate. Identifying off-the-run opportunities, performing sound analysis and exercising good judgement are key to success in this role.
Experience:
- Hands-on experience in:
- Financial analysis
- Accounting
- Complex capital structures
- Debt restructurings
- Western European insolvency processes
- Investment banking, debt restructuring, hedge fund, management consulting, asset management and/or private equity
Responsibilities: (Specific responsibilities will include but not be limited to)
- Source opportunities
- Self-originate stressed/distressed/special situations opportunities both from the secondary market and from illiquid restructuring, rescue, refi, litigation situations
- Develop strong networks amongst advisers, liquidators, litigation idea generators
- Prepare One Pagers
- Conduct deep dive research, including in-depth due diligence of the company/situation, financial analysis, legal analysis, tax and structural analysis
- Present investment ideas to Head of Research, CIO, Investment Committee and colleagues on the investment team
