Shift Leader Responsibilities
As a Shift Leader, you are a born player‑coach who thrives when working alongside a team to deliver quality products. You will spearhead individual, team and location initiatives to drive sales and business performance, support the General Manager, and regularly meet with the Senior Leadership team to voice feedback and improvements. You will be one of the first staff members at a new location, giving you the exciting opportunity to set the tone and create lasting connections in the neighbourhood.

What You’ll Own
- Craft beautiful coffee products and serve all Blank Street customers with energy, warmth, and empathy
- Support your GM and our Training Team to help train new employees, ensuring they follow recipes and processes, wear proper uniform, and maintain upbeat vibes
- Open and close the location safely and responsibly (Key holder) and oversee cleaning duties at the beginning, during and end of the shift
- Handle any minor customer issues in a positive and solution‑focused manner
- Lead all initiatives with the operations and marketing teams to increase foot traffic, attract new customers, boost daily sales, and improve operational profitability, while developing a loyal neighbourhood customer base for your store
Requirements
- Experience in the customer service or hospitality industry
- Availability that meets the needs of our cafés – 35 hours per week, 5 days of availability required, including 2 peak days (Friday, Saturday, Sunday)
- Availability to work between 6:30 am and 9:00 pm
- Weekend and holiday availability preferred
- Must be authorised to work in the UK
